Old-Timey Dress

With Thanksgiving approaching and some white, yellow, and brown fabric laying around; it was easy to decide to make this dress. It has such a cute, harvest vibe that is perfect for the Thanksgiving season!

Materials: Broadcloth (Shirt and Skirt) and Cotton Twill (Vest)

The shirt came out so nice!! I’m especially proud of the collar!
  • Adding a simple ribbon to the neck really makes it pop
This was the first time using grommets/eyelets and I struggled a bit but did manage to figure it out in the end. The eyelets can definitely be improved but I am happy with the end result!
  • Gotta make sure to have pockets!

I used fabric I’ve had in my stash for the skirt, so I cut it the length I wanted and decided on a pleated design to emulate the look. Then I added felt appliques around the bottom to make it more like the design and give it a more finished look.
