Okay so I bought this hat in game and it is so silly but also I love it. I’ve been on a green kick and I already had my green yarn out from the hand-knit bag so I figured I’d give it a go.
Materials: yarn, size 13 circular knitting needles
This is my go to hat pattern with a little extra on top to make the acorn likeness
Pattern
- Cast on 40 stitches
- Work in round
- Rows 1-24: Garter stitch (knit odd rows, purl even rows)
- Row 25: *Knit 8, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 36 stitches
- Rows 26-28: garter stitch
- Row 29: *Knit 7, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 32 stitches
- Rows 30-32: garter stitch
- Row 33: *Knit 6, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 28 stitches
- Rows 34-36: garter stitch
- Row 37: *Knit 5, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 24 stitches
- Rows 38-40: garter stitch
- Row 41: *Knit 4, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 20 stitches
- Row 42: Purl
- Row 43: *Knit 3, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 16 stitches
- Row 44: Purl
- Row 45: *Knit 2, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 12 stitches
- Rows 46-48: garter stitch
- Row 49: *Knit 1, knit 2 together* repeat till end. 8 stitches
- Rows 50-53: garter stitch
- Lastly pull yarn through the stitches to finish!
I love how it turned out!!! Now I’m thinking about making a tan one and putting together a Cornimer outfit…
